Abstract/Description: Postcard. Front: picture of a beach hotel in Pass-a-Grille Florida, cars from the time period are pictured parked outside of the hotel, behind the hotel is a beach with many sailboats in the water, people are pictured lounging on the beach under umbrellas. Back: Description reads “Pass-A-Grille Beach Hotel is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico and open the year ‘round. Fishing, boating, swimming, sun bathing, tennis, horseback riding and shuffle board are all here on the island.” Hand written in cursive personal message dated Thursday Eve 5/17/39 reads: “Dear Fred & Mary! I played nice? in trebles? this morning and we lost 11-19. Four rinks? with 28 men playing. A luncheon meeting of Com. For China Relief. After a nap? read and rested in our summer house and had ---ee callers?. Temp: 83º. Meeting of Trustees this eve. Frank” Addressed to Mr. & Mrs. F. S. Eearson 530 Bird Ave, Buffalo, N.Y.
