On the back of the postcard, a green U.S. postage George Washington one-cent stamp is displayed in the upper right corner. There appear to be remnants of a second stamp to the left of this one. There is a postmark from Pass-A-Grille Beach, Fla. dated Nov. 26, 1951. Printed vertically along the back of the postcard are the names of the production company and the distributor: "Genuine Curteich-Chicago "C.T. Art-Colortone" Post Card (Reg. U.S. Pat. Office)" "Sun News Co., St. Petersburg, Fla." The postcard is addressed to a Mr. K. B. Robinson at 27 1/2 Grant Ave., Endicott, NY. The message on the postcard reads: "Dear Daddy, Sat. This afternoon Marie and Jo went to a birthday party. While they were at the party we went on board a Navy ship. Love, Jimmy" |
