A church will grow here

Abstract/Description: A newspaper clipping glued to a piece of thin cardboard backing. The paper is yellowed and creased from the drying of the glue. The article, entitled, “A Church Will Grow Here,” is from page 14-B of the St. Petersburg Times, published July 14, 1958. The article includes an image of six men observing as a seventh man uses a shovel to break ground on the site of the new Pass-a-Grille Community Church. The text below the image reads: "Ground was broken yesterday for a new Pass-a-Grille Community Church building on 16th Avenue across from Washington Park in St. Petersburg Beach. Watching Dr. George L. Greene, pastor, turn the first spadeful of earth are, from left, Paul Baker, church moderator; Winfield Loft, architect; Jack Montgomery, educational superintendent; Marvin Francis, chairman of board of trustees; Marion Wooley, chairman of board of deacons; and Joe W.
