Joan Haley business card

Abstract/Description: The artifact is a classic white business card printed with black letter that contain Joan Hayley’s name and the editorial she worked for which was Harris & Ewing. The location of her editorial job is at 1313 F Street, Northwest Washington, D.C. Joan Haley was a journalist and socialite who retired to Pass-a-Grille in the 1950s. She purchased the dilapidated Pass-a-Grille Community Church building, which was at risk of being torn down following the relocation of the congregation. Upon her death, she left the structure to Pinellas County; the building is now home to the Gulf Beaches Historical Museum.
