Aerial view of oil spill at accident scene in Tampa Bay

Abstract/Description: The aerial photograph displays the water in Tampa Bay after the oil spill in August of 1993. On August 10, 1993, three vessels, the freighter Balsa 37, the barge Ocean 255, and the barge Bouchard 155, collided near the entrance of Tampa Bay, Florida. The photograph is taken near Mullet Key, the scene of the accident. In the lower half of the key, oil clumps can be seen floating on top of the water.
