Abstract/Description: | A clipping from the Beach News section of the St. Petersburg Times in the Sunday, February 13, 1938 edition originally located on page 34.; shows an aerial image of Corey Ave. with the caption: "St. Petersburg Beach From The Air-This unusual aerial view of the beach area in the vicinity of Corey avenue give some idea of the rapid development in that section since the thoroughfare was opened a year ago today. Less than 18 months ago, practically the whole area was a mangrove waste. With development so far made by the Upham company, together with bay and gulf fills at either side of their holdings, approximately 1,000 home and business sites will be made available for future expansion." |
